Cradle to Career Partners Launch Camp @ Home Activities

What are your kids doing this summer?

If you are looking to keep your kids entertained this summer, Cradle to Career Miramichi wants to help. “Since most camps are cancelled this summer, we are doing the next best thing,” said Mayor Adam Lordon, co-chair of Cradle to Career Miramichi. ”We are bringing camp activities to kids at home, for free!”

Cradle to Career Miramichi has lined up partners to bring camp activities at home, like free arts and crafts, online reading clubs, crazy online STEM projects, fun literacy and numeracy activities, tutoring and even sports activities at home.

“Our FREE literacy initiatives available by our partners provide high-quality enrichment opportunities to elementary students in Miramichi. This coordinated partner effort gives students the supplementary bridge that keeps learning in their world all summer long and prepares them for more in the fall,” said Lordon.

“We want all kids to be able to play and have fun this summer and engage their imaginations and sense of curiosity,” said Senator David Adams Richards, co-chair Cradle to Career Miramichi. “ And we especially want to help children who often lose ground over the summer because they don’t have access to programs that engage learning.”
